Gagan Thapa at Sanepa; NC Formally Names Him for PM

KATHMANDU – The meeting of the Nepali Congress Central Working Committee has commenced.

The meeting is being held at the party’s central office in Sanepa. This marks the first time the working committee, elected from the Special General Convention, has met at the party headquarters.

Prior to the meeting, President Gagan Kumar Thapa officially assumed his office. Thapa reached the party office to take charge for the first time, eight days after being elected President at the Special General Convention.

The Central Working Committee meeting is expected to discuss election agendas. Additionally, today’s meeting will make a formal decision to project President Thapa as the candidate for the upcoming Prime Minister.
