The committee is set to deliberate on the current political climate, internal party issues, and mounting disputes over whether to hold a special general convention within the current month or wait for the regularly scheduled convention in April.

The confrontation intensified after the party’s general secretaries pushed forward with plans for a special convention, triggering sharp disagreement within party ranks. Factions disagree over whether to advance that proposal or maintain the timeline for the ordinary convention in April.
