Petroleum Imports of NPR 7.84 Billion in Five Months

Bhadrapur  – Up to the end of Mangsir in the current fiscal year 2082/83, petroleum products worth NPR 7,84,40,23,000 have been imported from Kakarbhitta, the eastern entry point.

Petrol, diesel, LPG, ATF, and kerosene were imported through the eastern entry point. According to Mechi Customs Office information officer Ishwar Kumar Humagain, compared to the same period in the previous fiscal year 2081/82, imports of petroleum products have increased by NPR 23,52,70,000, or 3.10 percent.

With the rise in imports, revenue from petroleum products also increased by 2.50 percent, equivalent to NPR 9,42,95,000, the information officer said.

According to office statistics, in the first five months of the current fiscal year, NPR 3,80,58,64,000 was collected as revenue from petroleum product imports.

During the same period, 43,160 kiloliters of petrol worth NPR 3,82,70,00,000 were imported.

Similarly, 26,120 kiloliters of diesel worth NPR 2,53,16,00,000 were imported.

In the five months, 10,480 metric tons of LPG worth NPR 1,01,60,00,000, 3,580 kiloliters of ATF worth NPR 32,82,00,000, and 680 kiloliters of kerosene worth NPR 6,31,00,000 were also imported.
