Commission Issues Letter Summoning Former Home Minister Lekhak to Appear for Statement

Kathmandu — The commission of inquiry formed to investigate the events of Bhadra 23 and 24 has issued a letter summoning former Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak to appear and give a statement. The commission sent correspondence on Tuesday asking Lekhak to be present for his statement regarding the incidents.

Lekhak was the Home Minister during the Gen Z movement on Bhadra 23, and he resigned from his post on the same day following the killing of 21 youths on the first day of protests.

The commission is also preparing to summon former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli to appear for his statement.
