Meeting of all political sides to be held today at PM Karki’s call

Kathmandu — A “multi-party” (all-sides) meeting called by Prime Minister Sushila Karki will be held today.

According to the Prime Minister’s Secretariat, she has summoned the meeting at 4 p.m. this afternoon to discuss the upcoming House of Representatives election scheduled for Falgun 21.

For the meeting, representatives from the “Jengi” group, heads of security agencies, the Election Commission, and chiefs of security bodies have also been invited.

Likewise, the heads and representatives of political parties such as the Nepali Congress, Nepal Communist Party (UML), Nepali Communist Party, National Democratic Party (Rastriya Prajatantra Party, RPP), National Independent Party (Rastriya Swatantra Party, Raswapa) among others, have been invited, Press Coordinator Ram Bahadur Rawal of Prime Minister Karki informed.

Focusing on both House of Representatives and National Assembly elections, the government has been in continuous talks with concerned stakeholders. The Election Commission has also already published the schedule for elections.

Both old and new parties have begun moving forward with election-related activities.
