UML’s Writ Against Parliament DissolutionSet for Hearing on Mangsir 17

Kathmandu — The hearing for the writ filed by Communist Party of Nepal – Unified Marxist Leninist against the dissolution of Parliament has been scheduled for Mangsir 17.

On Tuesday, UML submitted the writ demanding reinstatement of Parliament — the petition was filed by party secretaries Mahesh Bartaula and Sunita Baral.

Following the Gen Z protests on Bhadra 23–24 and the demands of the protesters, Parliament was dissolved on Bhadra 27. An interim government was then formed, headed by Sushila Karki, who recommended the dissolution shortly after taking the oath.

With Parliament dissolved, an election has been scheduled for Falgun 21.
