Kathmandu – On Bhadra 24, during the Gen-Z movement, Ravi Lamichhane, who had escaped from Nakhkhu Jail by means of forged documents, has been brought to Singha Durbar for interrogation.

An inquiry commission, chaired by former Justice Judge Gauri Bahadur Karki, has been formed to investigate the events of Bhadra 23 and 24, and is set to record Lamichhane’s statement.

On Bhadra 24, leaders of the Rastriya Swatantra Party had gathered a crowd and forcibly freed Lamichhane — who was in pre-trial detention in a cooperative fraud case — from prison.

A few days earlier, prison officials testified to the commission that after Lamichhane’s release, they were pressured into signing documents against their will.
