Koshi barrage update: Water flow exceeded 500,000 cusecs, extreme risk

When the water flow at the Koshi barrage exceeded 510,960 cusecs, a high alert was issued.

Because the flow continued to rise, all 56 gates of the barrage were opened.

The administration says that water levels in the Koshi have reached extremely dangerous levels, and the current flow is considered to be in a very high-risk condition.
