Dodhara Chandani (Kanchanpur) – Following a rise in the water flow of the Mahakali River in Kanchanpur, traffic has been prohibited for four‑wheeled vehicles across the Sharda Barrage.

After continuous rainfall caused the Mahakali’s water level to surge, a ban was imposed on four‑wheeled vehicles, as announced by Deputy Superintendent of Police Sagar Bohara, spokesperson for the Kanchanpur District Police Office.

“Whenever the flow in the Mahakali reaches 100,000 cusecs, traffic is halted,” he stated.
According to him, this morning at 8 a.m., the flow in the Mahakali exceeded 109,980 cusecs, triggering the barrier to traffic.
