Kathmandu – The Nepal Communist Party (UML) is continuing its Central Committee meeting today at the party’s headquarters in Chyasal, Lalitpur.

According to Rajendra Gautam, head of the party’s publicity and publication department, central committee members are expected to express their views during this session.

The members will deliberate further on the draft of a constitutional amendment report by Vice Chairman Bishnu Prasad Paudel and an organizational proposal by General Secretary Shankar Pokharel, which have been approved by the party’s secretariat and politburo.

Gautam informed that members representing Koshi, Bagmati, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces will be sharing their perspectives on these proposals.

Yesterday, 49 central committee members from Gandaki, Madhesh, special provinces, and contact coordination committees shared their opinions on the reports.

Each member has been allocated a maximum of three minutes to express their views, and only those not in the secretariat or politburo are permitted to present their opinions.

Some members have submitted their viewpoints in writing. Gautam mentioned that the meeting is expected to conclude today with the release of a declaration that includes contemporary proposals.
