Kathmandu, July 10, 2025 – Dharampal Satyapal (DS) Group, a leading Indian FMCG conglomerate, has officially launched its flagship spice brand, Catch Spices, in Nepal. With this strategic expansion, Catch aims to introduce its heritage of purity, consistency, and innovation to Nepali kitchens, marking a significant step in its international footprint.

The brand enters the Nepali market with an extensive product portfolio, including straight spices, blends, pastes, and whole spices. Renowned for using Low-Temperature Grinding (LTG) technology, Catch ensures the preservation of natural aroma, oils, and colour, delivering unmatched taste and freshness.

Initially available across Kathmandu Valley, the brand plans to expand its availability to other regions through modern trade outlets (e.g., Bhat Bhateni), standalone and general trade stores, Nepal Army canteens, HoReCa sector, and e-commerce platforms like Daraz.

Speaking on the launch, Mr. Sandeep Ghosh, Business Head of Catch Spices, DS Group, said, “Nepali consumers are seeking high-quality, consistent spices, and Catch is well-positioned to meet these demands. Our commitment to purity and excellence is at the heart of everything we do.”

To further strengthen its presence, Catch Spices has appointed Chef Santosh Shah, internationally acclaimed Nepali culinary expert, as its brand ambassador. Chef Shah remarked, “The arrival of Catch Spices in Nepal will elevate both home and professional cooking experiences through superior quality and authentic flavour.”

The brand has launched a 360-degree marketing campaign, featuring television, print, radio, outdoor ads, social media engagement, and on-ground activations. The campaign aligns with major Nepali festivals such as Teej and Dussehra, with Chef Shah engaging consumers through commercials and events.

Launched in 1987 with a table-top salt sprinkler, Catch has grown to offer over 125 variants across 9 categories and 300 SKUs. DS Group, founded in 1929, has a diverse portfolio including food, beverages, mouth fresheners, hospitality, and luxury retail.
