Clash at Teachers’ Protest Leaves Journalist with Eye Injuries

Kathmandu – Journalist Sabina Karki, who was on duty covering the teachers’ protest, has been injured in a clash.

Karki, a journalist for Prime Television, sustained an eye injury. Prime Television Chairman Rishi Dhamala informed that she is currently receiving treatment at Tilganga Eye Hospital.

“She (Karki) has sustained serious injuries to both eyes. Treatment is currently underway,” he said.

She was injured when the police sprayed her with a water cannon.

On Sunday, police used batons and water cannons after teachers tried to breach the prohibited zone in Naya Baneshwor.
