Kathmandu – Education Minister Bidya Bhattarai resigned on Monday.

Sources close to her have informed that she submitted her resignation after meeting Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.

Education Minister Bhattarai’s resignation comes at a time when teachers across the country have been staging a Kathmandu-centric protest for the past 20 days.

She had been expressing her frustration among colleagues as no resolution was emerging from the teachers’ movement.
