MP Questions Ex-President Bhandari’s State Benefits Eligibility Post Party Membership Renewal

Kathmandu – Nepali Congress MP Ramhari Khatiwada questioned whether former President Bidya Devi Bhandari, who renewed her membership with a political party, is eligible to receive the benefits associated with the status of a former president.

Khatiwada raised this question during the zero hour of the parliamentary session on Wednesday. Without directly naming Bhandari, he stated, “It has come to my attention that a former president has renewed their membership with a political party.

If the membership has been renewed, is the former president entitled to receive benefits? What does the state think about this?
