At least 254 people have been killed in Israeli airstrikes on Lebanon in a single day, with more than 1,165 others injured. The scale of the casualties prompted Lebanon to declare national mourning.

Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam said that all political and diplomatic resources are being mobilized to stop the Israeli attacks.

Health Minister Rakan Nassereddine has appealed for international assistance, stating that the country’s healthcare system is under severe pressure due to the large number of injured.

Meanwhile, disputes over a ceasefire have deepened. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance have stated that Lebanon is not included in the agreement, with Vance saying, “We did not make any such commitment.”

On the other hand, Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said the United States faces a clear choice: either enforce a ceasefire or continue the war through Israel, stressing that both cannot happen simultaneously.
