Young man from Jhapa dies after car accident in Bagdogra, India

Jhapa – A young man from Jhapa, who was seriously injured in a severe car accident near Siliguri, India, in the Bagdogra area on Saturday evening, has died during treatment.

The deceased has been identified as 23-year-old Amit Chaudhary of Birtamod Municipality Ward No. 5. He was the son of Birtamod-based businessman Bharat Chaudhary.

A car with a Nepali number plate, Bagmati Province 01 032 Cha 1680, met with an accident in Bagdogra, about 23 kilometers from the eastern border point of Kakarbhitta.

Eyewitnesses reported that the car, which was traveling at high speed, lost control and crashed on the road, splitting nearly into two pieces.

Immediately after the accident, local residents and Indian police actively rescued the driver, Amit.

He was promptly taken to Galaxy Hospital in Bagdogra for treatment.

Upon receiving information about the incident, Amit’s father Bharat Chaudhary and other family members rushed to the hospital.

Due to severe injuries, he passed away during treatment, as confirmed by hospital sources.
