Western winds cause moderate rainfall in Gandaki and Sudurpaschim Provinces

Currently, Nepal is experiencing the influence of western winds, local winds, and a low-pressure area near its eastern region. According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Weather Forecast Division, the Koshi Province, along with other hilly and mountainous areas, is generally cloudy. The Madhesh Province is partly cloudy, while the rest of the Terai region remains mostly clear.

Moderate rainfall with thunder and lightning is occurring in some parts of Gandaki Province and one or two places in Sudurpaschim Province. This afternoon, Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki Provinces are expected to be generally cloudy. The hilly and mountainous areas of Madhesh Province and other regions will experience partial cloud cover, while the remaining Terai regions will remain mostly clear. There is a possibility of moderate rain and snowfall in some parts of the hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki Provinces, as well as in a few places in the Terai regions of Madhesh Province and Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki Provinces. One or two places in the hilly areas of Gandaki Province may also experience heavy rainfall.

The hilly areas of Sudurpaschim and Lumbini Provinces might experience warm days, while the Terai regions could face a heatwave. Tonight, Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki Provinces are expected to be generally cloudy. The hilly and mountainous areas of the remaining provinces will have partial cloud cover, while the rest of the Terai regions will remain mostly clear.

There is a possibility of moderate rain and snowfall with thunder and lightning in some parts of Koshi and Madhesh Provinces, the hilly and mountainous areas of Bagmati and Gandaki Provinces, and a few places in the mountainous areas of Karnali Province. Heavy rainfall is also possible in one or two places in the hilly and Terai regions of Koshi Province.
