Western low-pressure system causes rain and clouds in several provinces

The Meteorological Forecasting Division has reported that the country is currently experiencing the influence of a western low-pressure system, local winds, and a low-pressure area near the eastern part of Nepal in the lower atmosphere.

According to the division, there is generally cloudy weather in most of the hilly and mountainous regions of Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, while the rest of the Terai region is partially cloudy.

Some areas in Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, as well as one or two places in Koshi, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, are experiencing light rain with thunder and lightning.

This afternoon, the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi and Madhesh provinces, along with other parts of the country, are expected to remain generally cloudy, while the remaining Terai areas will be partially cloudy.

There is a possibility of moderate rain with thunder and lightning in some places in the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi province and other provinces, and light rain may occur in one or two places in the remaining Terai areas, according to the division.

There is a possibility of snowfall in the high mountainous regions. Similarly, tonight, the hilly and mountainous areas are expected to remain generally cloudy, while the Terai region will be partially cloudy, as per the division’s forecast.

There is a possibility of moderate rain with thunder and lightning, as well as snowfall, in some places in the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces. Additionally, light rain and snowfall may occur in one or two places in the Madhesh province and other hilly areas, according to the division.
