Voting halted at Naya Kiran Secondary School poll booth in Chitwan-2

The voting in Naya Kiran Secondary School, booth in Chitwan -2 has stalled after contesting parties protested against Rashtriya Swatantra Party candidate Rabi Lamichhane who was applauded by his supporters there.

The supporters of Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RSP) chanted slogans on Lamichhane at the school situated in Bharatpur Metropolitan City 11. The leaders as well as cadres of other parties protested. The polling officer ordered the voting to stop to avoid clash and violence.

A discussion is on to start the polling, Ishwori Acharya, Assistant Election Officer at the Office of the Chief Returning Officer, said.
