UML marks 33rd memorial of leaders Bhandari and Ashrit nationwide

The Communist Party of Nepal (UML) is commemorating the 33rd memorial day of its former General Secretary Madan Kumar Bhandari and Chief of the Organization Department Jibaraj Ashrit with various programs across the country today.

A memorial event is being held at Madannagar Balkhu, and a seminar is organized at the Madan Bhandari Memorial Foundation in Gothatar. Other activities include discussions on the contributions of Madan and Ashrit, seminars, tree planting, blood donation, health camps, and distributing fruits to patients in hospitals.

Leaders Bhandari and Ashrit died in a vehicle accident at Dasdhunga in Chitwan on Jestha 3, 2050. The UML recognizes Bhandari as the proponent of the People’s Multiparty Democracy.
