During a high-profile visit, American President Donald Trump is set to hold significant talks with his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping today. In his first formal event, Xi Jinping has organized a welcome ceremony for Trump at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.

Following this, the two leaders will engage in bilateral talks, and a state banquet is scheduled for the evening. The discussions between these two global powers will focus on key issues such as tariffs, competition in the technology sector, the Iran conflict, and Taiwan.

Accompanying Trump are prominent tech industry figures like Elon Musk and Jensen Huang. Before departing for China, Trump stated that China should “open its market” to American industries. Trump, who last visited China in 2017 as the American president, has returned to Beijing.

Meanwhile, China has grown more powerful and confident, aiming to present itself as a stable global power. This visit was initially planned for March but was postponed due to the Iran conflict.

Trump arrived in Beijing around 9 PM local time on Wednesday night and has already spent one night there. Upon arrival, he was welcomed by Chinese Vice President Han Zheng and then proceeded to the Four Seasons Hotel for the night.
