Tribhuvan Airport extends free parking to 15 minutes for pick-up/drop-off

Kathmandu – Vehicles will not be charged a parking fee for up to 15 minutes when picking up or dropping off passengers at Tribhuvan International Airport.

The airport office has implemented this provision to accommodate the needs of vehicles bringing or collecting passengers. According to airport spokesperson Sanjay Kumar, the time allowed for pick-up and drop-off has been extended to better serve passengers.

Previously, vehicles were exempt from parking fees for up to seven minutes, but this duration was deemed insufficient. To provide more convenience, the time has now been increased.

“We have arranged a trial period of one month during which no parking fee will be charged for 15 minutes of pick-up and drop-off. Any violation of this provision will result in penalties,” he stated.
