The stock market dropped to 2610 points Today
The decline in the stock market continued on Wednesday. Compared to the previous day, the NEPSE index dropped by 22.73 points to settle at 2610. The trading amount has shrunk to below 7 billion.
On the previous day, trading amounted to 7.24 billion, but today it was limited to 6.85 billion. The prices of 66 companies increased, while 174 decreased, and 4 remained unchanged.
Finance, non-life insurance, and trade sectors increased by 0.43%, 0.01%, and 0.16%, respectively. In contrast, the indices of other sectors decreased. Banking fell by 0.93%, development banks by 1.02%, hotels and tourism by 0.60%, hydropower by 0.92%, investment by 1.87%, production by 1.01%, microfinance by 0.54%, and others by 0.61%.
The value of Win Nepal Microfinance increased by 10%, Three Star Hydro by 9.4%, and Samaj Microfinance by 6.8%. On the other hand, the value of Asian Hydropower decreased by 6.8%. Corporate Development Bank, Life Insurance Corporation decreased by 4.8%, and Mankamana Engineering by 4.6%.
Based on trading volume, the leading companies were; CEDB Hydropower, NLG Insurance, Greenlife Hydropower, Samriddhi Finance, HIDCL Promoter.
