The meeting of NA postponed till July 9

Kathmandu, 07 July: The meeting of the National Assembly has been postponed till July 9 as obstruction from the opposition party continued for the three consecutive days.

The major opposition, Communist Party of Nepal (United Marxist Leninist) is asking for the resignation of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ following his admission that Pritam Singh, an Indian transporter living in Nepal for decades, lobbied in Delhi to make him the Prime Minister of Nepal.

The Parliamentarians stood up from their seats and protested with the onset of the meeting.

Lawmakers stated that the regular business of the NA meeting could not be taken forward unless the PM tenders his resignation.

Ganesh Prasad Timilsina, Chairperson of the National Assembly announced postponement of the meeting after protesting parliamentarians did not cease to protest.
