Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore by 55 runs in the IPL 2026 match held on Friday. Chasing a massive target of 256 runs set by Hyderabad, Bangalore managed to score only 200 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in their allotted 20 overs.

Winning the toss and opting to bat first, Hyderabad posted a formidable total of 255 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in their 20 overs. For Hyderabad, Ishan Kishan contributed 79 runs off 46 balls. Similarly, Abhishek Sharma played an explosive inning of 56 runs off 22 balls, and Heinrich Klaasen scored 51 runs off 24 balls.

Bangalore’s bowler Rasikh Salam took 2 wickets for 52 runs in his 4 overs, while Krunal Pandya and Suyash Sharma claimed 1 wicket each.

In their chase, Rajat Patidar scored a half-century with 56 runs off 39 balls for Bangalore. Venkatesh Iyer added 44 runs off 19 balls, and Krunal Pandya remained unbeaten with 41 runs off 31 balls, but their efforts were not enough to secure a win for the team.

For Hyderabad, bowler Ishan Malinda took 2 wickets, while Travis Head and Saqib Hussain picked up 1 wicket each.

Despite this loss, Royal Challengers Bangalore remains at the top of the points table with 18 points. Although Gujarat Titans also have 18 points, they are in second place based on net run rate, followed by Sunrisers Hyderabad in third place.
