The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology’s Weather Forecasting Division has issued a special bulletin today, warning of the possibility of strong winds in various parts of the country. The department has urged the public to remain alert.

There is a risk of storms in many districts from Sudurpaschim to Koshi Province, according to the department.

The division reports that districts such as Kanchanpur, Dadeldhura, and Doti in Sudurpaschim Province; Bardiya, Banke, Dang, Arghakhanchi, and Parasi in Lumbini Province; Nawalpur and Chitwan in Gandaki and Bagmati Provinces; Bara, Parsa, and Dhanusha in Madhesh Province; and Jhapa and Morang in Koshi Province, among others, are likely to experience strong winds.

This weather system is expected to begin at 4:00 PM on Wednesday and persist until 6:45 AM on Thursday.

Originating from the western region, this system is anticipated to bring thunderstorms, lightning, strong winds, and hail, gradually moving eastward. As its impact is expected to be widespread, the division has made a special request for the public to exercise necessary caution and stay safe.

It is particularly advised to avoid staying in open areas, keep away from weak structures, and only travel or engage in outdoor activities after considering the weather conditions.
