Schools have been closed in Sarlahi due to the excessive heat with the rise in temperature since the last few days.
The holiday starts from today and will last till June 7. All the community and institutional schools in the district have been shut for four days due to the scorching heat, said Ashok Kumar Rauniar, Officiating Chief of the Education Development and Coordination Unit, Sarlahi.
According to him, the summer holiday has been given to the schools for four days. This holiday would be deducted from the monsoon holiday. The four-day holiday has been announced with the information that the unbearable heat has affected the teaching and learning activities at schools.
The ongoing exams will however continue as per the schedule, he added.
