RSP’s ministers call back press conference scheduled Monday afternoon

In a conciliatory mode, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal (Prachanda) has been able to persuade the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) ministers not to hold their proposed press conference today.

The RSP ministers, already resigned form the cabinet in solidarity with their party chief Rabi Lamichhane, were going to hold the conference scheduled at 3 pm.

PM Dahal requested RSP chief whip Santosh Pariyar to pursue ministers from RSP to give conciliation a chance.

Pariyar along with chief whips of coalition partners had attended a meeting hosted by the PM in the morning.

The PM is believed to have spoken to Lamichhane separately with a request to call off today’s meeting.
