Resham Chaudhary releasesd

Kathmandu, 29 May: Resham Chaudhary, founder of the Nagarik Unmukti Party, has been released early this morning from the Dillibazar jail following his being granted amnesty by the president.

Chaudhary, a murder convict, in the Tikapur carnage, had been awarded life term following the verdict of the high court, subsequently upheld by the Supreme Court.

He was released as the President upon government’s recommendation has waived his remaining sentence on the occasion of Republic day.
