Rainfall with thunder expected in hilly regions of several provinces

The Meteorological Forecasting Division has reported that the country is currently experiencing the influence of western and local winds. As a result, some areas in Gandaki, Bagmati, and Koshi provinces are witnessing rainfall.

According to the division, this afternoon, there will be partly to fully cloudy conditions in the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces, while the rest of the areas will see partial cloudiness. There is a possibility of moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning in some parts of the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi province, as well as in some areas of Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces.

Similarly, the division has indicated that there could be rainfall with thunder and lightning in a few places in the hilly and mountainous regions of Madhesh, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces, as well as in the Terai region of Koshi province. There is a warning for potential storms in the Terai areas of Madhesh and Koshi provinces, urging caution. The division has also pointed out the possibility of rising temperatures in some parts of Sudurpaschim and Lumbini provinces.

Tonight, there will be generally cloudy conditions in the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, while partial cloudiness is expected in the mountainous areas of Karnali province and Madhesh province. The weather will remain mostly clear in the remaining hilly and Terai regions.

There is a possibility of light rainfall with thunder and lightning in some areas of Koshi province and a few places in the hilly and mountainous regions of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces tonight. The division has requested all concerned to take necessary precautions as storms may occur in some parts of the Terai region.
