Rain and snowfall expected in hilly and mountainous regions today

Kathmandu – Various parts of the country are likely to experience partial cloud cover and rainfall today.

According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Weather Forecast Division, this afternoon, the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, as well as Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, will generally be cloudy. The Terai regions of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces will see partial cloud cover.

Similarly, there is a possibility of moderate rain or snowfall with thunder and lightning in some areas of the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, as well as in the Terai region of Lumbini province and the hilly and mountainous regions of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.

The division has indicated that some parts of the Terai regions in Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces may experience hot weather today. Tonight, the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, as well as the mountainous regions of Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, will generally be cloudy.

Partial cloud cover is expected in the hilly and Terai regions of Madhes province, as well as in the Terai regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, and the hilly regions of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces. The Terai region of Sudurpaschim province is expected to remain mostly clear.

Additionally, there is a possibility of light rain or snowfall with thunder and lightning in some areas of the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, as well as in the Terai regions of Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, and in the hilly and mountainous regions of Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.
