Prime Minister Balendra Shah has posted a satirical status on social media expressing his desire to become an ambassador. On Saturday evening, through his official Facebook account, he humorously asked for the Prime Minister’s number, stating his wish to become an ambassador.

In Roman Nepali, he wrote on social media, “I also want to be an ambassador, if you have the PM’s number, could you give it to me?”

Although Prime Minister Shah did not clearly specify the context of his post, it is speculated that he was mocking a message sent by Secretary Krishnahari Pushkar, who had requested Prime Minister Shah to appoint him as an ambassador.

In response to Shah’s post, Education Minister Sasmita Pokharel commented, “Should I message?” while Victor Paudel added to the satire, saying, “No, the police might come to pick you up again.”

Shah’s status and the ensuing comments have sparked significant discussion on social media. Many have criticized the Prime Minister and ministers for making such irresponsible statements.
