Prez, Politicians express grief over Nembang’s demise

Kathmandu, 12 Sept:  President Ram Chandra Poudel and Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal have  joined several political leaders cutting across party lines to mourn the death of Subhah Nembang, many times speaker of the House and the Constituent Assembly.

Subash Chandra Nembang, currently the vice chairman of the Communist Party of Nepal- Unified Marxist Leninist, breathed his last on early morning today.

Speaker Devraj Ghimire, Former President Bidhya Devi Bhandari, Nepali Congress (NC) President and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, Chairperson of CPN (Unified Socialist) Madhav Kumar Nepal among others have extended condolences on his demise.

Several leaders and the general public reached the Maharajgunj-based Teaching Hospital this morning to pay tribute to Nembang.

The President said he was aggrieved and shocked by the unexpected demise of Nembang. Similarly, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ said he was stunned by the passing away of Mr. Subash Nembang.

Expressing deep sorrow on the demise of Nembang, Speaker Ghimire said the country has lost an experienced and prominent politician.
