President Paudel Departs for Geneva to Attend Labour Conference

Kathmandu: President Ramchandra Paudel has departed for Geneva, Switzerland to participate in the 112th session of the International Labour Conference.

President Paudel left this evening, leading the Nepali delegation. President Paudel was bid farewell by Vice President Ramsahay Prasad Yadav, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda, and others in the VIP lounge of Tribhuvan International Airport.

The Nepalese Army also presented a guard of honor. On May 31, President Paudel is scheduled to address the opening platform of the Global Coalition for Social Justice as the chief speaker. During his visit, he is set to have a bilateral meeting with Swiss Confederation President Viola Amherd on May 30. Furthermore, on June 14, President Paudel will travel from Geneva to Berlin, the Federal Republic of Germany.

He will hold a formal meeting with the President of Germany on June 16. President Paudel is expected to return home on June 18, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
