Preparations underway to arrest former Finance Minister Janardan Sharma

Kathmandu – Former Finance Minister Janardan Sharma has stated that he has always been in favor of investigating his assets.

Sharma expressed his response via social media amidst reports that preparations are underway for his arrest.

He said, “Friends, I have raised the issue of asset investigation in both the Parliament and the party. I remain firm on this. However, I am saddened by the media trial being conducted with the intent to create confusion over an unrelated matter.”

Earlier on Monday, former Finance Minister and UML Vice-Chairman Bishnu Poudel was arrested in Surkhet for investigation related to money laundering charges.
