Prachanda Elected from Rukum East

Kathmandu – Pushpa Kamal Dahal (Prachanda), Coordinator of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP), has been elected from Rukum East with a margin of over six thousand votes.

According to the final vote count completed on Friday at 6:15 PM, Prachanda secured victory with 10,240 votes, as informed by the Chief Election Officer of Rukum East, Shiva Prasad Khanal.

His closest rival, Lilamani Gautam of the CPN (UML), received 3,462 votes. The victory margin between Dahal and Gautam stands at 6,778 votes.
