In Nepalgunj, the police have cleared a road blockade set up by the All Nepal Landless Association, which is supported by the CPN. The blockade was located in front of the old bus park in Kohalpur. Protesters had obstructed the East-West Mahendra Highway by burning tires at 8:15 AM, but the police intervened and removed the tires by 8:20 AM, resuming traffic flow.

The protest was led by Lumbini President Bijaya B.C. and Kohalpur Municipal President Balbahadur Khadka of the All Nepal Landless Association, with about a dozen landless individuals participating. After police intervention, the small group of protesters moved aside.

The protesters demand that landless individuals should not be evicted from their settlements without alternative arrangements. They claim there has been mistreatment against the landless, and the protest has been declared nationwide.
