NEPSE Plummets 57 Points Amid Declining Trading Activity and Market Struggles
On Monday, there was a significant drop in the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE). NEPSE decreased by 57.03 points, reaching 2580.76 points.
As NEPSE fell, trading also decreased. On Sunday, trading amounted to 10 billion rupees, whereas on Monday, it was 7 billion 36 crore 20 lakh rupees.
In today’s pre-open session, the market started with a drop of about 2 points and continued to decline steadily from the opening. Throughout the day, the market attempted to rise 6 times, but it was unable to increase. Even though the market fell significantly, a slight correction in the last 2 minutes resulted in a decrease of only 57 points.
During the market decline, 1 crore 70 lakh 61 thousand 807 shares were traded. Of these, the share prices of 14 companies increased, while the share prices of 227 companies decreased. The share prices of 3 companies remained unchanged.
