NEPSE index rises by 16.38 points, led by hydropower companies

Kathmandu – The NEPSE index, which measures stock trading, rose today. According to the Nepal Stock Exchange, the NEPSE index climbed by 16.38 points to reach 2,758.49.

The sensitive index, which tracks the trading of large companies, increased by 2.40 points to 471.89.

Shares of 336 companies were traded, with a total of 10,888,739 shares bought and sold at a value of Rs 4.498516 billion.

Among the traded companies, the share prices of 203 companies rose, while 57 companies saw a decline. Eight companies remained unchanged.

Based on trading volume, Ankhu Khola Hydropower Company secured the top position. Similarly, Ridi Power Company, National Hydropower, Api Power Company, and Bungal Hydro were among the top five.

Additionally, investors in companies such as Crist Micro Life Insurance, Mabilung Hydropower, Bungal Hydro, Ankhu Khola Hydropower Company, and Sepur Khudi Hydropower made gains today.

Conversely, investors in NIC Asia Balanced Fund, Global IME Samunnat Scheme 2, ABL Debenture 2091, Sanima Bank Debenture, and Swabhiman Laghubitta incurred losses.
