NEPSE Declines for Third Day; Kalika Microfinance Shares Rise

In the past week, there has been a continuous decline in the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index for three trading days. Today, the index dropped by four points, settling at 2,576.76 points.

Today, shares worth 5 billion, 669 million, 194 thousand, and 961 rupees were traded, with 1,395,221 shares of 320 companies bought and sold in 80,378 transactions. The banking sector increased by 0.76%, and the non-life insurance sector rose by 0.16%, while all other sectors saw a decline in their indices.

The share price of Kalika Microfinance Financial Institution Limited rose the most today, increasing by 8.08%. Conversely, Janajagriti Community Microfinance Financial Institution Limited experienced the largest drop, with its share price falling by 7.67%.

In terms of transaction amounts, the highest trading was recorded for Siddhartha Hydro Power Development Limited, with transactions amounting to 205,584,584 rupees. However, in terms of the number of shares traded, Kumari Bank Limited had the highest activity, with 507,270 shares bought and sold.
