Nepal’s House of Representatives to discuss rules report and budget principles

The meetings of both the House of Representatives and the National Assembly under the Federal Parliament are scheduled for today.

According to the Parliament Secretariat, the House of Representatives will convene at 11 AM, while the National Assembly meeting is set for 1:15 PM at the Federal Parliament Building.

Two main agendas have been set for today’s House of Representatives meeting. Firstly, Ganesh Parajuli, the chairperson of the House of Representatives Rules Drafting Committee, will present a proposal to consider the ‘Report of the House of Representatives Rules Drafting Committee, 2083’.

Additionally, an initial discussion will begin on the principles and priorities (excluding tax proposals) of the Appropriation Bill for the upcoming fiscal year 2083/084.

The Parliament Secretariat has stated that lawmakers will start expressing their views and suggestions on this proposal, which the government presented in the House prior to bringing the budget, from today.
