The summit for a New Global Financial Pact

Nepalis hand letter of concern to French embassy in Kathmandu demanding reparation and justice

Kathmandu, 22 June: The group of Nepalis representing diverse fields, in the morning today, have handed a letter of concern to the Embassy of France in Kathmandu, at the outset of the Paris Summit for New Global Financial Pact.

“Beyond survival, we are demanding reparations and justice so that we may pursue the building of a just, equitable, resilient, post carbon sustainable world”, reads the letter.

The two-day summit ostensibly aims to set the foundations for the new global financing architecture beyond the Bretton Woods systems to address climate change, biodiversity crisis and development challenges.
