Nepali man arrested in UAE for fraudulent foreign employment scheme

A man accused of fraudulently promising foreign employment has been arrested in the UAE. The arrested individual is Subash Lawati, a 36-year-old from Miklajung Rural Municipality-5 in Panchthar. According to Nepal Police, he was apprehended in the UAE through coordination with Interpol and NCB Abu Dhabi. He was brought back to Nepal today (Thursday).

Lawati allegedly lured people with promises of high-paying jobs in Serbia, collecting a total of 1.161 million rupees in various bank accounts before disappearing. A red notice had been issued against him on Shrawan 26, 2082.
