Nepal wins toss, chooses to bat first against Oman in final match

Kathmandu – In the final match of the ongoing World Cup League 2 cricket series, Nepal won the toss against Oman and chose to bat first.

Captain Rohit Paudel decided to bat first after winning the toss. Nepal made two changes to the playing 11 against Oman today.

Asif Sheikh and Karan KC have been included in the team, while Sompal Kami and Bhim Sharki have been benched. Having lost to Oman in the first match, Nepal is aiming for revenge in the second match and is focused on adding the highest 6 points in the series.

Following this series, Nepal will play against the top two teams of League 2, America and Scotland, starting next week. Therefore, Nepal aims to strengthen its batting rhythm in the final match.

In the League 2 points table, Oman currently holds the third position with 31 points from 27 matches, while Nepal is in seventh place with 16 points from 23 matches. The other team, UAE, has 14 points from 24 matches.

In the ongoing series, Nepal has already won both matches against UAE. After losing one match to Oman, Nepal will attempt a comeback by winning this game.

Nepal and Oman have faced each other 9 times in the ODI format. Nepal has won three matches, while Oman has won five, with one match being canceled. In Kirtipur, these two teams have met four times, with Nepal winning one match and Oman winning three.
