Nepal, into T20 World Cup, defeats UAE by 8 wickets

Kathmandu, 03 Nov:  Nepal has secured its spot in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 defeating UAE with 8 wickets in a match played today at Mulpani Cricket Ground, Kathmandu.

UAE who won the toss and decided to bat first scored 134 runs at the loss of 9 wickets in allotted 20 overs.

Kushal Malla from Nepal took 3 wickets followed by 2 from Sandeep Lamichhane and 1 each from Rothit Paudel and Sompal Kami.

Likewise, Aasif Sheikh scored reliable 63 runs, being not out, off 50 balls while Captain Rohit Poudel also provided good partnership scoring 35 runs off 21 balls.

Nepal chased the target at the loss of 2 wickets with 17 balls remaining.
