Nation mourns death of 10 Nepalis in Israel

Kathmandu, 10 Oct: The nation today is paying tribute to Nepalis who lost their lives following terrorist attacks in Israel.

An emergency meeting of the Council of Ministers on Monday after the Hamas attack decided on this front.

The national flag across the country as well as in diplomatic missions abroad will be flying at half-mast, Rekha Sharma, Spokesperson of the government in charge of Ministry of Information, Communication and Technology, said.

The meeting has also formed a Rapid Action Team comprising the foreign minister, representatives from the education ministry, security bodies and Nepal’s diplomatic missions for necessary actions related to the safety of Nepalis in Israel.

The Nepali Embassy in Tel Aviv, confirmed the deaths of 10 Nepali students and one missing. The Embassy is said to be making every effort to send the bodies of 10 Nepalis back home.

Furthermore, the Embassy has urged Nepalis in Israel to make necessary coordination and cooperation with the Embassy with utmost restraint and caution.
