Kathmandu – Arjun Narsingh KC, a Member of Parliament from the main opposition party, Nepali Congress, has remarked that Prime Minister Balendra Shah does not seem to be an integral part of Parliament.

Speaking during a special session of the House of Representatives on Thursday, he questioned whether the Prime Minister is indeed a part of Parliament. He also commented that Prime Minister Shah appears more like the ruler of a separate island rather than the leader of the country.

KC expressed his dissatisfaction over Prime Minister Shah, who also holds the responsibility of the Home Minister, not attending Parliament at a time when the government needs to be serious about disaster management.

He stated, “The Honorable Prime Minister is currently also the Home Minister. Disaster management is a matter that the Home Ministry should take seriously. Now, he himself is the Home Minister. I am not sure whether he considers himself a part of this Parliament. Speaker, I am not aware. Is he the emperor of some separate island or an integral part of this Parliament? I want to draw attention to this as well. The government needs to pay deep attention to this serious issue. We cannot establish order just by correcting past irregularities. We can only create something new through a concrete concept and an operational plan to address every irregularity.”

MP KC also clarified that the government needs to pay deep attention to disaster management.
