Motorcycle-truck collision in Nawalparasi kills one, injures another seriously

A motorcycle collided with a truck on the East-West Highway in Pragatinagar, Devchuli Municipality-14, Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta East), resulting in one death and another person being seriously injured.

The accident occurred last night when a motorcycle with the registration number Ga10Pa 2287 hit a truck with the registration number Na5Kha 1757, which was traveling from Kawasoti to Narayangadh. Omanarayan Gurau, a 51-year-old resident of Madhyabindu Municipality-1, who was on the motorcycle, died in the accident.

According to Superintendent of Police Yubaraj Khadka of the District Police Office, Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta East), the motorcycle driver, 26-year-old Indian national Vishal Kumar Srivastava, sustained serious injuries and is undergoing treatment at the Old Medical College in Chitwan.

The police have taken the truck and its driver into custody.
