Motorcycle accident in Inaruwa leaves one dead, two injured

Inaruwa, Sunsari – A motorcycle accident in Inaruwa, Sunsari, has resulted in one death and two injuries.

According to Chandra Khadka, the information officer at the Sunsari District Police Office, the accident occurred around 11:00 PM last night. A motorcycle with the registration number Province 1–02–043 P 5822, traveling from Jhumka to Inaruwa, collided with a stationary tipper, registration number Ko 1Kha 5128, parked on the roadside.

The motorcycle rider, 29-year-old Binod Chaudhary from Inaruwa Municipality-8, sustained serious injuries. He was taken to Birat Nursing Home in Biratnagar for treatment but succumbed to his injuries during the treatment.

The two passengers on the motorcycle, 20-year-old Aryan Chaudhary and 28-year-old Ashish Chaudhary, both from Inaruwa-8, were injured in the accident.

Police have taken the tipper driver, 48-year-old Lalmohammad Miya from Koshi Gaunpalika-3, Sunsari, into custody at the Pakali Area Police Office.

Preliminary investigations by the Sunsari District Police Office suggest that the accident was caused by the negligence and high speed of the motorcycle rider.
