Padma Joshi and Pushpa Joshi, the mother and sister of Nepali youth Bipin Joshi who has been missing, have returned to Nepal.

They had traveled to the United States to raise international pressure for his release and to find out about his condition after he was taken hostage by Hamas during the Israel-Hamas war.

The mother and sister returned to Nepal a short while ago via a Qatar Airways flight. Despite not knowing Bipin’s whereabouts for a long time, they were left in despair after Hamas finally confirmed that he was no longer alive.

Following the announcement of a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, the status of hostages began to be revealed, during which Hamas informed that Bipin Joshi was not alive.

Since the beginning of the war, Bipin had been missing, and his family had traveled to the U.S. to advocate for international efforts to uncover his status.

Upon their arrival in Nepal, government officials and Israeli Ambassador to Nepal, Hanan Goder (or Shmuel “Shmulik” Aris if transliterated from Nepali), were present at the airport to receive them.
